Overview
The front cover was created using hand-lettered modern calligraphy to evoke the shape of a tree and embed the book title and author into the illustrative flourishes. The back cover employs whimisical hand-drawn laurels to embody the concept of nature. The simplicity of the back cover illustrations is intended to make the book appear welcoming to young readers as well as evoke a sense of nostalgia amongst adult readers who are now perhaps reading the book to children of their own. The spine maintains the calligraphic style with a stylistically similar illustration of an apple.
